Welcome to Tigwirizane, the website of the Fogarty Alumni Association of Malawi (FAAM). The Association was established as a collaboration between the NIH John E. Fogarty International Center research and training programs in Malawi.

FAAM's goals are to:

  • Facilitate networking and strengthen professional ties among Fogarty Programs and their former trainees from Malawi;
  • Foster professional and research exchanges among affiliated members;
  • Bring together former Fogarty trainees, visiting dignitaries and researchers from Malawi and throughout the region for research and practice purposes;
  • Promote collaboration across the six Fogarty-sponsored programs in Malawi.
